 NARA Services

FLNA is a full service 501c3 non profit organization serving communities with options to help enhance the lives of those battling from chronic illness.

Our Programs and Services

The National Autoimmune Resilience Alliance (NARA) offers comprehensive programs designed to support individuals and families affected by autoimmune diseases. Our programs address the physical, emotional, social, and practical challenges of living with chronic illness.

Current Programs

Support Groups

NARA facilitates support groups that provide essential guidance to caregivers, families, and patients on navigating the daily challenges of living with autoimmune diseases and overlapping conditions. Our groups offer a safe, compassionate space where members can share experiences, find encouragement, and build lasting connections with others who understand their journey.

Community Education Series

We bring healthcare professionals and autoimmune disease experts together to provide evidence-based education and awareness. Through quarterly speaker events, workshops, and presentations, we help our community better understand autoimmune diseases, treatment options, symptom management, and the latest research developments.

Games for Connection

A social and cognitive enrichment program offering activities to suit different interests and abilities, including virtual and in-person gatherings featuring trivia, puzzles, board games, book clubs, and conversation. This program promotes mental stimulation, reduces isolation, and builds community.

Programs in Development

NARA is actively developing additional programs to serve our community more comprehensively. These programs will launch as resources and partnerships become available.

Free Spirit Youth Program

A dedicated program for young people living with autoimmune diseases, helping youth navigate the challenges of chronic illness from childhood into adulthood. Free Spirit will teach participants how to manage the stresses of school, peer pressure, family life, and chronic illness with resilience and confidence. (Launching 2026)

Adaptive Wellness

An adaptive movement and exercise program designed to accommodate varying physical abilities, partnering with certified instructors and local healthcare facilities to offer options such as chair yoga, gentle stretching, water aerobics, and walking groups specifically designed for individuals with autoimmune conditions.

Nutrition and Wellness Education

Practical nutrition education teaches participants how to make healthy food choices that reduce inflammation and support overall health. This program will include cooking demonstrations, recipe sharing, and guidance on anti-inflammatory eating, gluten-free options, and meal planning for chronic illness.

Resource Navigation

Connecting members with experts and resources to help navigate Social Security disability benefits, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), financial literacy, and other practical concerns that arise when living with chronic illness. NARA partners with legal advocates, social workers, and financial counselors to ensure members receive accurate, professional guidance.

How to Access Programs

Many NARA programs are available to all community members at no cost. Some specialized programs require NARA membership. Learn more about membership or contact us to find out which programs are right for you.

We welcome you to join our community and participate in programs that support your health, well-being, and quality of life.
